Make Room to Grow

Doing spring cleaning, setting up for garage sales and packing for moving are chores few people like doing. This is when we finally brave that "space". You know. The space where we have stored things.

We go to the attic, basement, garage or spare room to see what we have and often we will recognize dust covered boxes from 2 moves ago. Never opened.

Some people will say to themselves that we may need it even if we have not looked at in 5 years or we needed it once and maybe we will need it again. There it stays gathering dust and cobwebs.

Sometimes we get rid of them and make room for new things.

How do we make sure that we have room to grow in our lives?

The same way. Out with the old and in with the new. We all have met or dealt with folks that cling to the old ways or thoughts. They have not evolved with the new things in life.

I'm not sure I'm saying this quite right, but they refuse to part with the old ways or the good old days. They have but to look around at all the new beauty they refuse to see. You embrace the new without fear and soon you will replace the old ways that need disposed of. Having an open mind is key.

Another good one Peter. I think I'll go clean out a closet or two. Have a great evening. :)

hmm keeping an open mind is a great virtue we can develop over time if we practice often.. I believe as kids we didn't have any egos and it was easier to 'learn' new things.. so working on crushing those egos would help us learn more each day, hence help grow ;)

hope that made sense!!

Yes that makes sense Pearl thanks for your addition

Unless it is something the taxman might want to see, if it hasnt been used in years it gets chucked.

I can't abide clutter, and since our last move, touch wood, we are quite streamlined now. We want to live on a boat, and that will be a brutal clear out. Cant wait.

That will definitely trim things down Ed

Can't agree more. There is this saying in Chinese, "The new won't come if the old doesn't go." We just have to creat the space to let things flow...

That is a good saying Shine thank you
