Many of us think that there is a perfect path of choices that would successfully give us everything that we desire and beat ourselves up for once more making a poor choice that we are currently painfully receiving the results of.
This decision of ours that we have once more missed making the perfect choice of actions now colors our perceptions for making future choices and we can often lose the opportunity of a choice due to not being perfectly sure of the result.
Where does perception of perfect choice come from?
We look at successful people and automatically assume that they are successful because they made perfect planned choices from conception of idea to final result. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every success has portion of it which when examined consisted of luck, timing, cooperation of others, opportunity, etc. which could not be controlled by the individual.
Perhaps then there is no escape from making mistakes as it is a natural part of being human and we are cannot have total control over all things impacting our lives and our choices. Then we could stop being afraid of making mistakes.

My thought?
Human's fear of the-so-called failure, and their expectation of certain result--and, of course--their compulsiveness of making plans, truly limits themselves from infinite possibilities.
I am sure once we rise above what we want and what we don't want, what is success and what is failure... we can live up our fullest potential, our ultimate destiny, when being born as a human. I did make plans, but I make (long term) plans no more, and I do no longer expect certain result from my actions... suddenly everything feels right and beautiful :)

A man's error error are his portals of discovery. I think only through mistakes and errors we advance in life.
Errors should be pitied and we should learn a lesson from..and should never be ridiculed.
Good advice. People are often too quick to turn to others for advice without knowing if they are "qualified" to answer.
I couldn't agree more with you. Life experiences are there to make us grow and we will stumble and fall over and over again to achieve our goals. We don't give up on our kids when they are learning how to walk. Likewise, we shouldn't give up on ourselves when we are stumble over and over again. It definitely builds character!

Success is not an easy trophy in order to be both successful and happy in life there are many sacrifices involved. We cannot lie to ourselves, we have to be content with who we are and learn that there is still room to improve. While making choices and decisions in life we should also learn to compromise with failures because we never know it may be a part of a bigger plan.
